Internet audience monitoring
takes place on the page of monitored server (site-centric). Monitoring collects information on all visitors to a server. Site-centric technology uses the gemiusTraffic system, which is currently used as a unified monitoring platform in Poland, Latvia and Lithuania. The system works with the help of Javascript codes embedded into monitored pages. This enables it to receive an extensive data file or, for example, detect the technical parameters of users’ computers. The technology also enables the resolution of many methodological and technological problems (it minimizes the calculation of operations caused by indexing robots and other automatic scripts, eliminates the effect of caching, etc.)

Socio-demographic research of visitors
is panel measurement realized through the use of pop-up questionnaires on page of monitored server (site-centric) – such monitoring is called Pop-Up Panel. As of July 1, 2007, the project includes monitoring user activity on internet browser pages (user-centric) – such monitoring is called NetMonitorPanel – which reports combined data (combining Pop-Up Panel and NetMonitorPanel). The research provides information on socio-demographics of internet visitors on the basis of a sample of visitors (panel).
User-centric technology uses a local application, NetSoftware, which is installed on individual NetMonitorPanel members’ computers.  The NetSoftware application is used as a united monitoring platform in Poland. NetSoftware is an Internet Explorer plug-in recording its activities, based on BHO technology (a library for creating Internet Explorer plug-ins).

The system for monitoring processing (the only system of this type in the world) eliminates inaccuracies arising from deleting cookies and delivers the actual number of visitors (real users).

Research infrastructure is used now for overlying research, such as post-buy analyses, ad-hoc research, and campaign pre-tests and post-tests.  Mutual comparability (and possible interconnection) of results enables standardized monitoring of the Czech internet in this area.
